great movie, top to bottom. i grew up reading many, many comic books and as grounded in real life as Nolan's Batman movies have been, this was by far the most accurate to what i read as a younger me. ledger's joker was without a doubt the greatest villain portrayal in a comic movie i've ever seen, just his mannerisms, unpredictability...even all of the disguises were pure Joker. great movie, even as much as i loved iron man and the hulk, greatest MOVIE i've seen all year.

To my good friend who recently welcomed a new baby girl into the world...I have a good sense of seeing the pain that people try to hide, and it was hard watching you unhappy the past few months. It seems that things are finally starting to turn around for you and it makes me happy to see that. I think you'll be a great mother and hopefully you can shed the same light on her life you did on mine...

I've never gotten the hype around Lil' Wayne....I naturally have a bias against any rapper with the surname "Lil" or "Young" (except Jeezy, for reasons unexplained I am a MASSIVE fan). With over 1.5 mil of "The Carter 3" already in the cd players of suburbanites and homo thugs across the nation, I feel it is my duty as a hip-hop fan of 25 years to "give Wayne a chance." So mark this week in your Blackberries, the same way I sit and zone out to Lupe's The Cool or anything by Kanye...I'm going to devote this week, July 7-11, to Weezy. F. Baby. Unfortunately I don't have the benifit of "Nigga ears" (watch I Think I Love My Wife if that one slipped past you) so I have low expectations, especially given that Young DeWayne prefers to freestyle over every song instead of *gasp* actually coming up with concepts and putting them on wax...If I ever meet Weezy I'm going to spike his "Sizzurp" cup with GHB and force him to listen to "The Coolest" over and over ad nauseum..until then Hallelujah Holla Back puntas....
